چکیده

When agents have quasi-linear preferences, every incentive compati-ble social choice function can be implemented by a simple extensive form mech-anism, even if agents are allowed to use mixed strategies. The second stage of themechanism, which is used to elicit the agents' true preferences, is not reached inequilibrium; it gives agents strict dominant strategies, so equilibrium outcomesare not sensitive to agents' beliefs off the equilibrium path. This solves the mul-tiple equilibrium problem of a principal facing several agents: the mechanismimplements any solution to the principal's second best maximization problem. The specification of incentive compatibility constraints in the principal's prob-lem presupposes a precise knowledge of the agents' beliefs. However, the abovemechanism can be modified to implement the principal's second best (to withinarbitrarily small perturbations of transfers), regardless of the agents' conditionalbeliefs. The multi-objective decision making methods based on MULTIMOORA and MOOSRA for the laptop selection problem

A decision making process requires the values of conflicting objectives for alternatives and the selection of the best alternative according to the needs of decision makers. Multi-objective optimization methods may provide solution for this selection. In this paper it is aimed to present the laptop selection problem based on MOORA plus full multiplicative form (MULTIMOORA) and multi-objective o...

Rediefining the Government-University Relationship using the Principal-Agent Theory

Government–university relationship has always been challenging. Many theories have emerged to explain this relationship. Among them, the principal-agent theory (PAT) has mainly developed in recent decades. This research aims to utilize PAT as a theoretical framework to redefine the government-university relationship to discover the insights agency theory can offer in this context. From the view...

Disentangling Moral Hazard and Adverse Selection

This paper analyzes a canonical principal-agent problem with moral hazard and adverse selection. The agent is risk averse and has private information about his disutility of taking an unobservable action. The principal is risk neutral and designs a menu of contracts consisting of a compensation scheme and a recommended action for each type of agent to maximize expected profit. We first derive a...
